How payment works

Provincial health plans

In-home physiotherapy, occupational therapy and kinesiology are not covered by provincial health plans anywhere we operate. We would rather say that plainly here than have it come as a surprise on the phone.

Extended health insurance

Most insurance companies offer partial or full coverage of your physiotherapy and occupational therapy sessions. Check with your provider for your benefits, deductible, co-pays, and whether a prescription is required. Kinesiology is generally not covered, which is part of why it's the more affordable option for ongoing care. For clients without a direct-billing option, we'll provide a receipt you can submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

Veterans Affairs Canada

Eligible veterans with a K number may be preapproved for 20 physiotherapy visits through Veterans Affairs Canada. If you or your spouse served, mention it on your first call and we'll help determine whether you qualify. For more information, visit the Veterans Affairs Canada website.

How billing works

How we invoice, what we accept, and which insurers we bill directly.

Methods of payment

Our preferred method of payment is Visa or MasterCard. Once your card is on file in our secure clinic software, we charge only the visits that are owing during each billing cycle and email your receipt right away. If you don't have a credit card, you can also pay by pre-authorized debit — bank payments are fully secure, and you sign up once with your bank account details.

Billing cycles

We process invoices and payments weekly, covering all appointments from the previous week. You'll always have an emailed receipt for your records and for any insurance claims you submit yourself.

Direct insurance billing

We can direct-bill Blue Cross, Greenshield (BC only), Telus Health, and Veterans Affairs Canada. To direct-bill, we keep a credit card on file to cover any balance your insurer doesn't pay. Through Telus Health we can also direct-bill many other providers.
