Jillian Bergman Stow
Jillian is a Dalhousie Physiotherapy graduate with experience in both the private orthopaedic clinic setting and home care. She enjoys developing solid therapeutic relationships with her clients, in their own environments. Jillian also finds it very rewarding to help people improve their quality of life. She has recently established a keen interest in the therapeutic care of children in addition to the elderly. Jillian enjoys growing as a wife, mother and business woman alongside her husband & business partner, Stephen Stow. They enjoy spending time with their two young children and growing in their faith. On a global level, Jillian has a desire to see justice obtained for the oppressed and poor of this world (Please see International Justice Mission’s website, www.ijm.ca for more information).

Barbara

Barbara Adams
Upon graduation from Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 1984, Barbara worked in cardiac rehabilitation and intensive care units in London, Ontario. She became a Neurosciences Dept. supervisor and was the Vice Chair of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Neurosciences Division. Upon returning home to Nova Scotia, she has raised four sons and worked at the Veterans Memorial Building with the geriatric population. Barbara spent 10 years at the NS Environmental Health Centre where her research and clinical work focused on the management of chronic pain and fatigue. Her keen creativity and extensive knowledge inspired a program to help people learn to pace themselves. Barbara then transitioned into the private practice world for a change of pace after 18 years with the Capital District Health Authority. She has presented her research at several national conferences and is a frequent guest speaker about living well with chronic pain for the Arthritis Society in the Maritimes. Barbara has also written a book titled “Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Owner’s Manual” (copyright 2008). Barbara works as both the Clinical Director for PhysioCare At Home and as a Physiotherapist. She is a proud mother and enjoys spending time outside as well as travelling with her husband.

Cindy

Cindy Woodman
Cindy Woodman is a Dalhousie University graduate. She has worked in variety of settings including outpatients, geriatrics, orthopaedics and home care. She has developed a keen interest in working with clients in their own homes and has been working in the community setting for the past 8 years. She enjoys seeing her clients reach their maximum functional potential. When not at work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, camping and reading.

Irma

Irma Vaughan
Irma is a Dalhousie Physiotherapy graduate with the majority of her experience in the long term care setting. Early in her career she worked within neurologic rehabilitation, and continues to have a special interest in this area - in particular, the stroke population. Irma enjoys spending time with her three children, as well as skiing and ballroom dancing.

Stephanie

Stephanie McCarville
Stephanie is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario. Since completing the Masters in Physiotherapy program, she has worked primarily in private orthopaedic physiotherapy clinics in Ontario, Alberta and PEI. She is happy to be back in her home province and is eager to treat clients in the home setting to help them restore mobility and strength, provide pain relief, improve quality of life and meet their individual goals. In her life outside of work, Stephanie enjoys yoga, biking, hiking and running.

Sneha Jani
Sneha is a Dalhousie Physiotherapy graduate who initially practiced in a hospital setting. She worked with a range of populations including paediatric, orthopaedic, cardiac, and neurology, as well as rural home care. She has also volunteered her physiotherapy services overseas in Bolivia at a Children’s Burn hospital, which proved to be a very rewarding experience. Sneha enjoys working with the geriatric population and encouraging daily physical activity as a means to restore function and maintain independence. In her free time, Sneha enjoys hiking, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jessica

Jessica Richardson
Jessica is a McMaster University graduate with experience in both the hospital and community settings. She has worked with a range of populations including orthopaedics and neurology. Jessica also has extensive experience working with children in addition to the elderly. Her vibrant personality is a definite asset as she seeks to encourage and work alongside her clients to help maximize their physical function and independence. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys her time outside with friends and family, teaching fitness and travelling.

Megan Waite
Megan is a Dalhousie Physiotherapy graduate with experience in acute care as well as home care. She has recently spent 5 years in Alberta practicing physiotherapy in both tertiary and community care hospitals. Her experience includes working in intensive care, orthopaedic surgery, general medicine and wound care. Megan enjoys working with the elderly and helping her clients optimize function and independence. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Karen

Karen Jones
Karen has been working with PhysioCare At Home since July 2010. She graduated from Dalhousie University School of Physiotherapy in 1998 and has worked in both Canada and the UK. Karen, an energetic Newfoundlander, has extensive experience in orthopaedics and has a special interest in cardio-respiratory conditions, both of which she has treated in a hospital setting for many years. Karen has worked on the restorative care unit at the Veteran's Memorial Building, gaining valuable experience working with the geriatric population. Continuing education is very important to Karen and she is keen to stay up to date with best practice standards. In her spare time, Karen enjoys travelling, staying active and spending time with family and friends.
